President Buhari has advised Nigerians to vote for the candidates of their choice in next year’s general elections. He gave the advice while breaking fast with members of the judiciary led by Supreme Court Justice Olukayode Ariwoola last night. President Buhari who is also seeking a second term and will be running for president next year, said “Let them vote for anybody they want across ethnicity and religion and impose their decisions on them. I think that is what I am calling on and I am begging the governors to please continue with voter education so that people will take their permanent voter card seriously and make sure that they don’t lose them''.

Falz' supporters pointed out that the girls in hijab are a representation of the Chibok and Dapchi girls and other young women kidnapped and raped on a daily basis in northern Nigeria. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Sunday said that it had set May 26 for rescheduled Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) for more than 12,000 candidates across the country. The Board’s Head of Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja. This category of candidates, he explained, are those whose biometrics were not captured during the initial period of the UTME in March. He said: “It would also include those, who are yet to see their results since the end of the examinations in March till date and have not been involved in any form of malpractice. “It will also include those, who were unable to print out their e-slip before the earlier examinations and those whose centres were cancelled for suspected malpractices.’’ According to him, “there are centres that were cancelled because of suspicious activities but the board was unable to identify the actual culprits. President Muhammadu Buhari has departed the United Kingdom for Nigeria. Buhari’s return trip was disclosed by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the United Kingdom via its Twitter handle on Friday. Sharing photos and videos of Buhari’s departure from London, APC United Kingdom wrote: “BON VOYAGE We wish @NGRPresident @MBuhari and presidential team a safe flight back to Nigeria. “Nigeria Air force one departed #Stansted at exactly 12:33hrs for Nigeria.”
