It is still unknown what caused his mother's death. Popular Rapper, Olamide Adedeji a.k.a Baddo, announced the death of his mother few hours after he celebrated his son’s birthday on Tuesday. Just hours after he celebrated his son’s birthday, YBNL Boss, Olamide has been bereaved as he lost his mother to the cold hands of death. Recall that the “science student” crooner, had earlier penned a birthday message to his son, which reads; “Happy birthday Batifèori Maximiliano Adedeji more life young King from Dad,your best pal.” And about 4 hours after, he took to his Instagram page to mourn his mom’s death. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Thursday directed all tertiary institutions to end their 2017 admission by January 25. The Board’s Head of Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin said the board’s decision came at a meeting where all issues and ones bordering on the admission process were taken into consideration. He said it was resolved that the academic calendar must be adhered to. The UN Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, has appointed a retired Nigerian lieutenant general, Chikadibia Obiakor, to lead a special investigation into the killing of some Burundian refugees in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN Secretary-General in New York, announced this in a statement issued in New York. No fewer than 35 Burundian refugees were killed and more than 100 others wounded by security forces in eastern DRC September 15, 2017 at Kamanyola, South Kivu. The special investigation will look into the challenges facing the UN Organisation Stabilisation Mission in the DRC (MONUSCO) in discharging its mandate to protect civilians and provide recommendations on improving the performance of its troops. President Muhammadu Buhari has met with the leadership of the National Assembly led by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki at the Aso Rock Villa. Mr. Saraki who spoke briefly at the end of the meeting said they were at the villa to brief the president on the decisions and resolutions of the Senate regarding the Benue crisis. The Senate had during plenary on Tuesday given the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, 14 days to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators of violence in Benue State. Over 70 people have been killed in Benue in 2018 in attacks by suspected herdsmen. A Senate committee report said ‘faceless people’ were sponsoring and harbouring foreign mercenaries who have been perpetrating killings in Benue and other parts of Nigeria. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has denied making attempt to arrest President Muhammdu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari. Reports emerged last week that some security agents stormed the home of the President’s Chief of Staff to get him arrested. However, the EFCC said yesterday that it was not investigating Kyari, adding that it did not deploy its operatives in his Defence House quarters. In a statement last night by its Acting Head of Media and Publicity, Samie Amaddin, the leading anti-graft agency said it did not make any attempt to arrest the COS. Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose has commenced plans to give employment opportunities to about two thousand unemployed youths in the state. He announced this at the government house, Ado Ekiti during a meeting with the 2017/2018 N-Power programme applicants from across the sixteen Local Government Areas in the state. The governor who bemoaned the high rate of unemployed people in the country expressed the belief that creation of job opportunities would reduce crimes and social vices in the societies.
