The Headies has officially unveiled the nominees for the 13th edition of the music award tagged ‘The Power of A Dream’. Following this announcement, the year in review was between January 2018 – June 2019; the event is scheduled to hold October 19th, 2019 at the Eko Convention Center, Lagos. In all 23 categories were announced and all nominees in each category were also revealed. As expected some of the top names in the music industry like Burna Boy, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Olamide, Wizkid made the list. A category to watch out for would be the ‘Next Rated’ category with buzzing new talents like Rema, Fireboy DML, Joeboy, Lyta etc will go against each other to clinch the award. The 2019 Headies Next Rated Nominees category has been released by the organisers and as expected it’s a highly competitive list. Zlatan, Rema, Fireboy, Joeboy, Lyta and Victor AD have all made the list. This category is definitely one of the most competitive groups of Next Rated nominees in the history of the award and without it being a surprise, it has already started creating a dilemma for music fans. It gets messier as disqualified housemate, Tacha has just unfollowed the official Instagram page of Big Brother Naija. Tacha was on Friday 27 of September with just 10 days remaining till the end of the show disqualified for physical violence during a fight with fellow housemate, Mercy. A quick check on the reality TV star’s Instagram page revealed that she no longer follows the Big Brother Naija handle on the popular photos sharing platform.

Nigerian singer, Burna Boy is not having the best of the day, as fire recently destroyed one of his most valuable property. 10 months after buying it as an Xmas gift for himself, fire has damaged the singer Range Rover Autobiography. The vehicle caught fire, this morning, along the Lekki-Epe expressway, but the singer wasn’t in it when the incident occurred. The fire was however quenched by some Good Samaritans before it could wreak havoc. Burna Boy’s later visited the scene to assess the situation.
